Antibiotics and laser hair removal: are they incompatible?

More and more men and women are choosing to undergo laser hair removal treatments to remove unwanted hair!

Our technology helps you to achieve flawless without the typical discomfort associated with waxing and shaving, including folliculitis, a common skin inflammation that appears in the hours following hair removal.

Medication: contraindications

Before proceeding with laser hair removal, the best thing to do is to book a free consultation: during this meeting with the specialised practitioners, the customer is “interviewed” to identify any potential hormonal, pathological or pharmacological issues.

The aspects analysed include, for example:

  • if the customer is pregnant;
  • whether they have undergone surgery recently and what type (non-oncological, oncological, dermatological/oncological);
  • whether they have taken or are taking medication and what type;
  • whether they are affected by any diseases;
  • etc.

Analysing these aspects is crucial in order to avoid contraindications.

If you decide to proceed with laser hair removal, and you have taken antibiotics in the previous 48 hours, our specialised team will ask you to wait an additional 48 hours after the last dose before proceeding with treatment.
