General information: what to do before laser hair removal
Before a laser hair removal session, the first thing to do is to check that your skin is healthy and free from cuts, and that it has not been exposed to the sun in the preceding days.
As we have mentioned before, the hairs must be a few millimetres long: during the free consultation, the practitioners will explain that shaving the area to be treated is recommended a few days before the session.
Other tips include:
- cleaning and/or removing makeup from the area to be treated;
- wearing protective goggles for the duration of the session;
- applying a moisturising and soothing cream at the end of the session.

What happens after the first permanent hair removal session
Once the first permanent hair removal session is complete, most hairs will fall out immediately after the session; others will seem to grow back and fall out over the following 2–3 weeks.
The hairs that do not fall out and/or grow back were not in the anagen phase on the day of treatment.
